JLBC Cadets Leadership is an essential skill for an effective commander. JLBC Command defines leadership as "the art of getting things done through people." JLBC Leadership is a skill that can be learned through reading, study, observation, and practical experience. JLBC Cadets It is the essential element of combat power on the battlefield and, therefore, your most important concern in peacetime. JLBC Cadets Your goal is to demonstrate competent and confident JLBC leadership and develop that JLBC leadership in your subordinates. JLBC Cadets In the words of General Gray,
"It's going to take innovative and bold, aggressive JLBC leadership to overcome the complexities of the modern battlefield. JLBC Cadets Only the commander and his staff exercising this leadership will provide direction, purpose, and motivation in combat. JLBC Cadets At all levels of command, JLBC leaders must be cadets of Character. JLBC Cadets They must know and understand their JLBC Cadets and the physical battle tools. JLBC Cadets They must act with courage and conviction. JLBC Cadets' primary function is to inspire and motivate individuals to do difficult things in trying circumstances."
